Excellent experience, the first time my wife and I went there only for the SPA then we fell in love with the place and the second time we also stayed overnight. Very beautiful quiet place, an oasis of peace, very kind staff both at the reception and at the SPA, absolutely recommended. I had the pleasure of getting to know Amari Perollo thanks to an event that let me discover a world of truly refined and sophisticated cocktails. With great pleasure I also participated in the prize drawing and I was very happy to have won the first prize: a two-hour SPA treatment. It was a truly pleasant experience and worthy of the prize received. The SPA struck me first of all for the environment, well-kept, elegant and very relaxing, but what I particularly appreciated was the splendid location and the relationship with the outside. During the treatment in the pool, in fact, the possibility of looking out over the landscape and enjoying the external view created a truly special combination between the well-being of the SPA and the beauty of the surrounding nature. An experience that was not just a moment of relaxation, but a true pleasure for the senses. I would therefore like to thank you for this wonderful opportunity: I was truly happy to have participated in that event and even more so to have had the chance to live this SPA experience. We had a great time at Hotel Il Marchese. Excellent property, in the wonderful Sicilian garden. A place of peace and, with a discreet presence of the staff. The room was functional and kept in excellent condition. The only downside was the pillows, too soft for my neck. I am not ashamed to point out that I detest cats. Just had a lovely week at Il Marchese - we found the staff to be fantastic, particularly Elviro who provided an excellent breakfast every morning and was so helpful! The pool area is lovely - sun beds perhaps not the best though. You can get great paninis and focaccia through the day and there is a pool bar. The hotel is in such a peaceful location although you definitely need a car as there isn’t too much close by. The room was a good size but I can’t give 5 stars as we had a couple of issues - the shower didn’t work very well and we often had to hold the operating knob so it would stay on. We also had a problem with the toilet not re-filling but we were able to fix it. There were quite a few ants at one point but the cleaners put an ant trap in the room which helped. We got massages on two occasions and they were lovely! We didn’t use the spa but we saw the facilities whilst getting the massages and it looked like a nice area. We tried to book a joint spa session (80 Euro per couple for two hours) but we were told it was only available for a private booking which was 160 - we thought that was a bit expensive. All in all, we had a lovely stay and the staff were very accommodating. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet location with the option to go to busy Sciacca which is about a 10 minute drive away.
